MY CURRENT FAVOURITE HGHLIGHTERS

It was actually really difficult to decide which highlighters to include in this post because there is so many that I love. I am obsessed with highlighters. I love ones that give a light dewy glow and ones that give a strong, bright highlight. In this post I have discussed a variety of different ones.

I Heart Goddess Of Love Triple Baked Highlighter

I bought this one night on Superdrug website as a little pick me up. I had seen swatches online and just loved the look of it. The font at the front is florescent pink and looks amazing against the white and gold packaging. The highlighter itself gives off a stunning pink/lilac hue and is gorgeous when you wear it with a pink lipstick. The swatch below honestly doesn't do it any kind of justice. It really needs to catch the light to show it off fully. My only problem with it is that it feels a little loose inside the box. Maybe mine isn't glued down properly, I'm not sure but it does annoy me a little. It obviously doesn't stop me using it and won't stop me repurchasing it but it's something to keep in mind.

NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Powder Stardust

I am OBSESSED with NOTE Cosmetics as any regular reader of my blog or social media will know. I have yet to find a product from them that I haven't really loved. Day to day I am a huge fan of a subtle but still noticeable highlight and the NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Powder in the shade Stardust really helps achieve that look. It has a really soft golden glow that just looks like beautiful, dewy skin and opposed to glittery cheekbones. All of the NOTE Cosmetics Terracotta Powders contain Macadamia Oil which helps to retail moisture while also balancing the oil levels of your skin. For a more intense look apply the Stardust highlighter wet and thank me later!

Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder

If you are makeup shopping on a budget then the Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powders are well worth checking out because they will only set you back €3.99... what a bargain! I have two shades in these. I have Crown Of My Canopy (top right) and Precious Petals (top left). I have swatched them both below and while I think they are both stunning, my favourite of the two is without doubt Precious Petals. I use them both but I find I can use Precious Petals anytime because it gives off a really nice champagne toned highlight which suits pretty much all my makeup looks. Crown Of My Canopy is more of a bronze shade. As you can see below it has a stronger colour and is really lovely when worn with a tan. I love wearing it swept across my collar bones for nights out or special occasions.

The top swatch is Precious Metals and the bottom one is Crown Of My Canopy.

JOKO Makeup Glow Primer

If you are looking for a multi use highlighter then look no further than the JOKO Glow Primer in the shade Love Yourself. There is so many ways to use this product I am actually a little unsure where to start to be honest. You can warm it up on the back of your hand and apply it to the highpoints of your face or you can mix a small amount in with your usual foundation to give an all over subtle glow. Another way I like to use the JOKO Glow Primer is along my collar bones or down the centre of my legs over a tan for special occasions. It gives your skin that really healthy, beautiful glow. Sometimes on no makeup days I will even add a small amount in with my moisturiser just to make me look somewhat normal!

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

I bet when all you highlighter fanatics saw the title of this post ye knew that the iconic Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter from The Balm would be included. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to discuss your favourite highlighters and not include it. ;) Anyway I have never seen or heard a bad word about this highlighter. I have mine ages, I'm actually starting to hit pan and I still love using it. It has a really gorgeous golden shimmer and recently enough became available in liquid form. All I can think about is layering the two... can you imagine the glow that would give? Despite my efforts I am yet to fine a genuine dupe for the Mary-Lou Manizer so you could say it's one of a kind.

Not that I need any more highlights but I would still love to know your favourites!!
