A/W Wardrobe Series | Musthaves

The next post in my A/W Wardrobe Series is going to focus on must haves so basically a few pieces that you can mix and match to change up your look and some pieces that are trending this year to update your wardrobe.

Suede or leather whichever you prefer, red boots are popping up over and over again. Initially I was a bit horrified by it but it has totally grown on me and I am lusting after the two below. What a perfect way to add a pop of colour to your look.

Another trend which has quickly grown legs is the check blazer. You could pair it with a little lace top to add a feminine touch or a slogan t for a more casual look. They are also fab with leather look leggings. In addition to the two below Penneys also have a really nice one with velour trimming instore at the moment.

This is something I haven't purchased yet, I know shock horror eh? They look stunning worn over knitwear, vest tops or day dresses. Actual leather jackets can be quite pricey so I have included two leather look jackets below just for a little inspiration. I love the warmth the faux fur brings to the one on the left.

Every wardrobe should have atleast one pair of leopard print heels. They add something sexy and a bit of fun and personality to an otherwise simple outfit. I have four pairs but in my defence they are all different atleast that's what I tell himself anyway. The Carvela ones pictured below left are a little pricey but my God they are gorgeous!! I hope Santa or atleast Mrs. Clause reads my blog.

I have to admit the whole baker boy thing is a trend that I am not fully on board with yet. I mean, I love it on other people but I just don't think I personally could pull it off. I would love to know your thoughts on it. Have you tried it yet?

Denim shirts are gorgeous under knitwear jumpers to add a layered effect and the longline ones are also gorgeous with black leggings and over the knee boots.

Knit jumpers are absolutely essential this time of year. I am always adding to my collection. I literally want one in every single colour. Throw them over jeans or tuck them in at the waist for an effortless but gorgeous look.

I bought a pair of good quality leather look leggings last Winter in a local boutique and it was one of my best purchases ever. They go with so much. You can pair them with heels and a nice top and you're done for a night out or dress them down with some knitwear and converse.

I bought two new blanket scarves in Vero Moda recently and I swear they are my best friend on a really cold morning. They are just so warm and cosy and depending on the pattern or colour you chose they can bring a bit of life or a bit of colour to an otherwise basic outfit.

When it comes to parkas my motto is the fluffier the hood is the better! I got an adorable on one sale on ASOS years ago and it had leopard print inside the hood and had little ears to. It was super cute. The faux fur lining on the New Look one below looks so cosy.
