REVIEW | Kinvara Absolute Cleansing Oil

For the past few weeks and months even I have been changing my cleanser constantly. I just couldn't settle on one or find one that I really loved. Some days I wear quite a natural makeup and some days I wear a much heavier look so I needed something heavy duty to get rid of every single bit.

I started using the Kinvara Absolute Cleansing Oil about three weeks ago and I have fallen in love with it!! I had used a cleansing oil from a different brand in the past but it didn't feel as rich or as luxurious as the Kinvara one. The Kinvara Absolute Cleansing Oil literally feels like a mini facial in the evenings and made me look forward to removing my makeup. The very first time I used it I really liked it so I chatted about it on my instastories and I kid you not I got so many messages from women who follow me saying how much they love it and how they would never use anything else.

How to use.
Pop a clean facecloth into your washbasin and allow the warm water to saturate it. While that is happening I warm up 1-2 pumps of the Kinvara Absolute Cleansing Oil between my hands and massage it into my face to dissolve and lift off the makeup. I even use it to remove my mascara, eyeliner etc. and it is so super gentle on the eye area. Next I squeeze the excess water from the facecloth and remove both the makeup and the product from my skin.

Ingredients.
All of the ingredients including the two I am going to briefly discuss below in the Kinvara Absolute Cleansing Oil are certified organic ingredients however they do recommend patch testing before use to ensure it suits your skin. It is highly unlikely that you will have an adverse reaction but it is better to be sure. Watermelon contains both Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Vitamin A helps to repair and create new skin cells which prevents the skin from looking dull and flaky. Vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis. Collagen keeps the skin supple and helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Cedarwood Oil is a natural antioxidant that can help to reduce inflamation and treat acne. It is really good for tightening the skin if you have open pores.

I personally only use my Kinvara Absolute Cleansing Oil at night to remove my makeup. I usually use a micellar water in the morning to cleanse and refresh my skin. I had my reservations about using a cleansing oil when I had oily skin myself but after a little research and some chats with some friends in the beauty industry I realised that it may actually be the perfect cleanser for me. Think of it as fighting fire with fire. Water based and oil free cleansers won't necessarily break down an excess of sebum whereas an oil based one most likely will. There is a general rule of thumb that like dissolves like therefor an oil cleanser may just be exactly what an oily skin type needs.

Would I repurchase the Kinvara Absolute Cleansing Oil? Yes I 100% would. I think the price is reasonable considering it is all natural ingredients and it lasts ages. It is an affordable touch of luxury into your skincare routine. I am trying to think of a critique and I actually can't think of anything so that's a pretty good sign!
