BRAND SPOTLIGHT | JOKO Makeup

I have been using JOKO Makeup for the past few months after being introduced to the products by their brand manager Angela. Just to give you all a little background on the brand, JOKO is a mineral, cruelty free makeup range which has recently launched in Ireland. It is available online and is quickly adding to it's stockists around the country. Over the past number of weeks I have been trialing a selection of products from their range to let you all know what I think.

JOKO Glow Primer Dangerous Woman and Love Yourself.

JOKO Glow Primer.
So I have two of the JOKO Glow Primers, I have the shades ''201 Love Yourself''' and ''203 Dangerous Woman''. Love Yourself is a gorgeous, subtle champagne toned while Dangerous Woman is more of a rose gold tone. They are both stunning and give a really nice, luminous glow to the skin. I like to apply mine to the high points of my cheeks and on the brow bone before or after foundation. I also like to use it as a base for a powder highlighter because it intensifies their colour payoff ten fold!

JOKO Cashmere Finish Mat & Cover Foundation.

JOKO Cashmere Finish Matt & Cover Foundation.
One word I don't throw around a lot on my blog is dupe because I feel like it is used to easily BUT the JOKO Cashmere Finish Matt & Cover foundation is literally the exact same as the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. I know that is a big claim but they are the very same in every way actually the JOKO Cashmere Finish is a lot more affordable. It has the same coverage and the same longevity that people love from Double Wear. I always found that if I wore Double Wear for a few days consistently then my skin would dry out so I always left it for special occasion but the JOKO Cashmere finish is a lot lighter on the skin and not atal drying.

JOKO Mineral Powder 02

JOKO Mineral Powder 02

JOKO Mineral Powder.
The intention of a powder is to increase the longevity of your foundation and concealer. It should act as a veil over the skin to lock in your base products. With some powders you get a chalky looking finish that I actually hate but with the JOKO Mineral Powder you wouldn't even know you were wearing it. Even when you run your finger across it to swatch it, it feels like silk. I have oily skin so I need a heavy duty powder. I normally would opt for a loose powder but the mineral aspect of the JOKO one means it isn't your ordinary compact powder. It gives a much fuller but still invisible coverage.

Another JOKO Mineral Powder I have been trialing is the shade ''05 Light Bronze'' (pictured above). This one differs in that it has more colour to it and it has a shimmer. I love using it along my cheek and collar bones for that subtle glow that we all love. You can increase it's results by layering it over the JOKO Glow Primer in ''Love Yourself'''.

JOKO Classic Lipstick Sweet Blush

JOKO Classic Lipstick Pink Glow

JOKO Classic Lipstick
Out of the two JOKO lipsticks I have my favourite for everyday wear is definetely Sweet Blush. It is GORGEOUS!! It is just such an easy shade to fire on and run out the door. It looks like your lips only better. Pink Glow is great for adding a pop of colour to a summer makeup look. It has a very subtle red undertones making it beautiful for evening wear especially.

I am going to be doing a lot more blog posts, reviews and maybe some tutorials including JOKO products over the next few weeks and months.
