BRAND SPOTLIGHT | Vichy

When it comes to skincare I am a mahoosive Vichy fan especially of their Normaderm range because it is formulated especially for us guys and gals with oily or imperfection prone skin.
Initially this post was meant to be a quick review for my social media platforms but I love the products so much that it ended up being way too long for a social media post so I decided to do a proper blog post on it. As the title suggests the brand I am focusing this post around is Vichy which is available in most pharmacies nationwide.

So the first product I want to chat to you guys about is the Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 Scrub, Cleanser and Mask. This product has recently been reformulated and can boast that it is free from parabens, alcohol and soap therefor making it perfect for even the most sensitive of skins. A few weeks back I did a more lenghtly blog post solely on this product which you can check out here.

The Vichy Normaderm Beautifying anti-blemish care 24H Hydration is a powerful anti blemish moisturiser which is ideal for someone with oily or imperfection prone skin. It is a common misunderstanding to avoid moisturiser if you have oily skin but it is such an important step. Skipping a moisturiser can cause the skin to over dry which will in turn jump start the sebaceous glands to creating excess oil. This particular one was recommended to my by my local Vichy pharmacy representative Amanda and she was a fountain of information. As well as providing adequate hydration this product mattifys, reduces the appearance of pores and gives a soft focus effect to the skin.

Last but not least is the Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot. This stuff is a gift from the Gods!!! This little tube of magic clears up spots and breakouts quicker than any other product I have ever tried. If you are following my blog a while you will have heard me rave about it before but it seriously is the absolute business. Whenever I get a spot or a breakout I apply a small amount of this clear gel directly to the spot and it layers it with a protective and invisible layer. In conjunction with hyaluronic acid the Vichy Hyaluspot uses Salicylic Acid and LHA to help minimalise and eventually completely get rid of the spot. It can tingle a little but it isn't anything overly uncomfortable. Also just to reiterate do not apply this all over, just apply it to your spots or imperfections.

If after reading all my rambling you are unsure if you have or haven't got an oily or imperfection prone skin type you should check your skin for the following:
  • enlarged, visable pores
  • a shiny appearance
  • pimples, spots, blackheads, whiteheads etc.
  • acne
  • poor makeup longevity
However it isn't all doom and gloom as studies show that people with oily or imperfection prone skin are less prone to dehydration and more importantly wrinkles will appear later. My next Vichy skincare purchase is 100% going to be their Vichy Normaderm Night Detox. I need it in my life!!

I hope that was a helpful insight into some of the fantastic Vichy Normaderm range.

Let me know if you have tried or would like to try any of the products.
