Wild Irish Seaweed Moisturising Mask

Founded in 2009 Wild Irish Seaweed is a family owned Irish brand that hand harvest 100% natural and organic products in Ennis, Co. Clare. The Talty family have a vast amount of experience in harvesting seaweed and it has been nurtured through four generations.

They got in touch with me a few weeks ago to see if I would be interested in trialing and reviewing some of their products and I was more than happy to. Shortly after a gorgeous, delicately wrapped parcel full of products arrived which I could tell a lot of love and care had went into. Included in the parcel was a really sweet personalized letter which was such a nice touch.

The first product I tried was the 100% natural Wild Irish Seaweed Moisturising Mask. The mask itself claims to refresh, nourish and rejuvenate tired skin so my face was bound to benefit from it. The first thing I noticed about the product was the smell. It has quite a strong seaside smell which reminds me of my childhood holidays to Donegal!! For best results using the little measuring spoon put 3-5 scoops of the powder into a container and add 10ml of warm water to make a paste. Using a flat foundation brush spread the mask generously to your face and leave it for fifteen minutes. After fifteen minutes remove it with a warm, damp facecloth.

As directed I have used this product twice a week for the past month or so and I can see a huge reduction in the redness of my skin. For as long as I can remember I have redness across my nose and slightly out onto my cheeks and this has reduced in a major way. I am way more confident now on no makeup days as a result. It is also a lot more smooth and supple than it has been previously.

Seaweed protects your skin from harmful pollutants and it is rich in antioxidants which help to protect your skin from damaging free radicals. It also has anti-aging properties due to the fact that it contains ascorbic acid and selenium. The fatty acids in seaweed help with any inflammation or irritation along with natural cleansing and hydrating properties. Other fans of the brand include Cocoa Brown Tan CEO, Marissa Carter and the super talented Tara O' Farrell aka. Tara Makeup. I have some more products from their range including a scrub and an oil that I want to give a good go and review soon.
