International Women's Day 2016 | Women Who Inspire Me

So because today is international women's day I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to write a blog post on the three women who inspire me the most in my daily life.

First up is CEO of Cocoa Brown Tan, Marissa Carter. Marissa inspires me not only as a business woman and a beauty professional but also as a mother. There is something incredibly inspiring about the Cocoa Brown story and how the brand is going from strength to strength.

I am a HUGE Cocoa Brown fan and Marissa is always so supportive of me and my blog. She is just such a lady! Months ago she posted a quote to her Snapchat account (cartermarissa) that has stuck with me since and brings me comfort when I am being hard on myself to always do better and it is "Her success is not your failure."

When I started my blog I didn't really follow any others except for Suzanne Jackson aka. So Sue Me. You could say she was my inspiration when I started Lipstick And Louboutins and that hasn't really changed since. The first time I met Suzanne was at a blogger awards and lads I was shaking. I was a pregnant bag of nerves!! Since then I have met Suzanne a few times and have learned to (kind of) control my inner fan girl.

What Suzanne has built for herself from So Sue Me is literally amazing!! I love her SOSU gel polish range in particular Rock Candy and Boss Bitch. I have yet to get my hands on the SOSU Complete Contour Palette but like half the country I will be out in force for it when it is available again!

So I saved the best for last. The third and final woman who inspires me is Martina Moran, my mammy!! Cliche I know but she is the most incredible woman in the world in my eyes. Not only is she loving and caring but she is the most HILARIOUS person I know. She once put our dog in the front seat of the car and drove him around the yard because and I quote "He looked bored and like he wanted to go for a drive".

Since becoming a mother myself I fully understand everything she and my dad done and sacrificed for my sisters and I. She is an Irish mammy to the back bone and is very rarely seen without a cup of tea in hand. Most importantly she thought me everything I know about being a mammy and is always on hand when I have questions. You could ring her at 4 in the morning, apologise for waking her and she would lie and say she was awake anyway just so you wouldn't feel bad or guilty. I could go on and on about this woman but I think I'll leave it at that.

Happy international women's day lovelies!!
