UD | Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

Recently one of my favourite makeup brands Urban Decay launched a limited edition collection with none other than the gorgeous Gwen Stefani.
The collection includes a fifteen shade eyeshadow palette (which I have reviewed here), a six shade blush palette, a brow box, six lipsticks and six matching lipliners. Today I am going to chat to you guys about the limited edition UD | Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

I'll be honest and admit that I very, very rarely wear blusher but when this beaut of a palette arrived I couldn't help but give it a go! Straight off the shade 'Lo-Fi' was calling out to me as a potential contour shade and 'Angel' as a highligher. Over the past week or so I have been experimenting with both these shades and the colours. I have been missing out by not wearing blusher! Literally all week I have had people commenting on how ''fresh'' I was looking. Who knew a bit of blush on your cheeks would make such a difference eh?

''Hey baby, hey baby hey!!'' How GORGEOUS are those shades?
These swatch photos were taken in natural daylight.
Left to right: Cherry, Easy, Angel, Lo-Fi, Hush and OC.
The shades...
  • Cherry is a gorgeous light pink satin shades which sets off a pink lip beautifully. When applied in small amounts on ''no makeup'' days it gives that gorgeous naturally flushed look.
  • Easy is a deep rose shade with a very subtle gold shimmer. It is really nice when paired with a red or nude lip.
  • Angel is a champagne nude shimmer which as stated above can be used to highlight the cheek bones, tip of the nose, cupid's bow, brow bone, tear duct and the centre of the forehead.
  • Lo-Fi is a soft matte brown which is probably my favourite shade out of all six. It is a really good shade for contouring and it makes a stunning eyeshadow.
  • Hush is a medium pink with a gold shimmer which is a little bit stronger than the shimmer in Angel. This shade is beautiful as a highligher on tanned or darker skin. It has a real deep gold shimmer off of it.
  • Last but not least is a really nice soft pink/peachy shade OC. This is the palest shade of the bunch but it is the perfect subtle shade for an everyday natural makeup look.
When it was new like this I didn't want to use it and ''ruin'' it. Now I am addicted to using it and it is much loved!!
The formula & longevity...
I was incredibly impressed with the formula of the shades. I found it to be quite velvety and buttery making them super blendable and very easy to work with. Urban Decay promise eight hours of wear. I apply my makeup before going to work at around 8AM and when I come home at 6PM my blush is still perfect. Even when I am removing my makeup later that night before bed it is still pretty much as I applied it.
Top tip: By using the infamous Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray it helps to increase the longevity of your makeup look. I always have this in my makeup stash. It is a lifesaver!!

In the image I am wearing 'Lo-Fi' as both my eyeshadow and contour, 'Angel' as my highlight and 'Easy' as my blush.
On my lips I am wearing the UD | Gwen Stefani lipstick in shade '714'. For a full list of products I used here check out my Facebook or Instagram accounts. Both are linked below.
