Review & How To // ImPRESS Nails

Are you someone who is always last minute getting ready for big occasions or nights out? Are you someone who is a big dodgy at nail painting or are you someone who likes something quick and easy when it comes to a beauty routine? If you are any or all of these people then you need to give the ImPRESS Nails a go!!

99.9% of the time I either have acrylic extensions or CND Shellac on my nails but recently I was given the opportunity to try out the ImPRESS nails so I thought why not? I received four sets. There was nude, grey, burgundy and a gorgeous navy shade. I am going to be totally honest here and admit that I don't hold much mass on press on or glue on nails BUT for the purpose of research and curiosity I gave them a go.

I am happy to report that I was more than pleasantly surprised by the ImPRESS nails. In comparison to other press on nails I have used in the past they were miles and miles better. They were easier to apply, they looked better on the nail and more importantly they last really well. I know what it's like when you are applying false nails...your going grand one minute and next thing you know your hand is glued to the kitchen table!! The best part of these nails for me is the fact that they use no glue whatsoever there for making both application and removal much easier.

My top tips for perfect application
  • First things first you want to measure the ImPRESS nails next your own and line them up so that they are ready to go.
  • Next you need to buff the surface of your nail using a gentle buffer. I love the OPI Flex 220/280. This step isn't essential but I find it helps.
  • Starting with your pinkie, grab the ImPRESS nail that fits, peel of the backing and press it on. For best results aim for the centre of the base of your nail.
  • Once you are happy with where the nail is positioned all you need to do is press and hold for the next sixty seconds or so.
  • Repeat the above on all ten fingers and voila, in a matter of minutes you have a set of gorgeous nails that require no drying time whatsoever.

My top tips for removal
So when the time comes to remove your ImPRESS manicure they give you to choices, you can either peel them off or else soak them in acetone. 100% acetone can be purchased in your local beauty salon suppliers and in some pharmacies. Regular nail varnish won't cut it, purely because it only contains acetone as an ingredient and in most cases it is in a small amount. For best results and quickest removal grab the acetone if you can get your hands on it. My only problem now is deciding which colour to wear next!

I hope you guys found my post helpful. If you try out the ImPRESS nails I would love to hear how you get on. You could say I was ImPRESSed by them...I couldn't let that one go!!

Chat soon everyone.
Have a fab rest of week and weekend.

Love Melissa
