What I Wore | Blog Awards Ireland '15

On Thursday night I attended this years Blog Awards Ireland in the Tivoli Theatre and it was such a good night. My blog made the long list for ''Best Fashion Blog'' but unfortunately didn't make the cut for the short list. I was invited to attend the awards by one of my favourite online beauty retailers Simply Foxy and I decided to go to support my fellow bloggers and friends.

The theme for the night was 1920's and we were entertained by amazingly talented burlesque dancers and had 1920's style music all night long. It created an incredible atmosphere.

On the night and over the past few days I have been inundated with comments, messages and snapchats about my outfit and where it could be purchased. It is incredibly flattering and I have all the details listed below.

Shop my look
Bodysuit: BooHoo
Skirt: Charisma Fashion
Shoes: Savida
My shoes were purchased in Savida in a clearance sale months back so they are now completely out of stock but I have sourced a similar pair from Debenhams HERE and another more affordable pair from ASOS HERE.

This stunning statement necklace and gold clutch bag were gifted to me by the lovely ladies over at Falabella Accessories

Mei Ling Tong of Darling Buds Of Mei and myself.

On the night there was a massive variety of bloggers. I had no idea that people blogged on so many topics. It was nice to see everyones niche recognised. At Lipstick And Louboutins we are all about beauty and fashion so below is the winners and runners up in these categories.

Holos Light Exfoliating Facial Polish

PRODUCT & LOGO PICTURE CREDIT: www.holos.ie

What is it? A facial scrub.

How much is it? €20.80 for 100ml.

Where can I get it? www.holos.ie

Who are HolosHolos are an Irish skincare company which create completely natural holistic skincare using essential oils and natural ingredients.

Holos Light Exfoliating Facial Polish 100ml €20.80.

Today I want to chat you guys about the Holos Light Exfoliating Facial Polish from their Blossoms range. The polish arrived gift wrapped in the cutest wrapping paper ever. I could tell that lots of love and attention had gone into the presentation of it. I like when a company does this. It is a reflection of how professional they are and how much pride they put into their work.

The product packaging itself is simple and incredibly striking. It is straight to the point and you know exactly what you have and what you use it for. The ingredients are a pleasure to read because they are all natural I was immediately familiar with them.

Neroli is one of my favourite scents ever!!

I wish I had the ability to allow you all to smell the product because it just smells incredible. It reminds me of a smell from a spa, I'm sure it is the neroli that creates that luxurious scent.

I use my usual cleanser to remove my makeup and then I apply my Holos skin polisher in very slow upward circles. I apply it all over my face avoiding my eyes and allow it sit on my skin while I brush my teeth. In this time my skin absorbs the oils from the product and once I'm finished I just rinse my face with luke warm water.

If only smellogram existed...

The actual scrub in the skin polish is created by a light volcanic lava pumice. How amazing is that?? This in addition to this the essential oils Neroli, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine really makes for an incredibly pampering product. The Holos Light Exfoliating Skin Polish also boasts aloe vera extract and creamed coconut oil to nourish and protect the skin. I can safely say that my skin felt smoother than smooth and baby soft after using the Holos Light Exfoliating Facial Polish. The results were pretty much instant and they lasted to. My skin still felt great the following morning and was a perfect base for my makeup application.

I think their may be a few Holos Skincare products added to my Christmas wishlist. I am so impressed by them.

If you wish to purchase this product you can do so HERE. If you would like more information on this product or any other products in the Holos range then you can either check out the Holos website or feel free to contact me in a comment below this post or at any of my social media handles.

Penneys Favourites Part 1.

Hi everyone. Happy Sunday.

Today is the very first in a new series of ''Penneys Favourites'' on Lipstick And Louboutins. I wanted to bring something to my website and social media that I think everyone would like and could take away from. My Penneys haul posts are always incredibly popular so I thought this would be a good addition to my blog. After all who doesn't love Penneys??

These are shoes I would have walked past last week and not even bothered with until I saw a friend wear them recently. She wore them with a long white shirt and a pair of black leggings and it was gorgeous. It was just such a simple but stylish look.

Even looking at this photo is bothering me... I have no idea why I went home without these gorgeous nude lace up shoes. The look so comfortable and would match so much. They are top priority the next time I visit Penneys.

Fringing is still very much a huge trend. These boots are super comfy and have a heel height that is just perfect for everyday wear.

These fluffy large clutch bags are just the cutest. I picked up one in black to match an outfit but I plan on going back for this colour to.

The handbag next it with the feathers is so nice to and would add a touch of glamour to any outfit.

I love the colours in this scarf. The pink is just gorgeous. It's very easy to get caught up in dark dreary clothes in the Winter months. Adding a touch of colour is always important.

This grey jumper dress is a wardrobe staple for Autumn Winter and it reminded me of a gorgeous look I saw on Pinterest. Wear it with boots and tights or leggings and converse for a more casual look.

So now I will show you guys what I picked up...

Last night Josh and I headed out for dinner and it gave me the perfect opportunity to debut my new fluffy bag. I love the size of this bag. Often times with clutch bags they can be to small. This bag was only €10.00 which is a total bargain.

The shoes I am wearing in the picture are also a recent Penneys purchase. They were €14.00... I think and are also available in black and khaki.

These nude runners were a total bargain at only €11.00. I wore them over the weekend at Jake's 1st birthday party and they were so comfy.

This fluffy handbag is like the baby version of the one mentioned above but with a chain. I thought it was super cute and really glamorous. It will without doubt get a few uses over the festive season.

So that gals concludes my debut ''Penneys Favourites'' post. You can look forward to part two in the near future. Apologies for enabling anyone shopping habits...not! ;)

Have a fabulous week.

REVIEW | Yves Saint Laurent Nail Lacquer

REVIEW | Yves Saint Laurent Nail Lacquer

One of my favourite things to blog about is nail products and today I want to tell you all about the stunning new matte polishes from Yves Saint Laurent, in particular the fuchsia shade. When it comes to nail products especially standard polish I like something that is a quality product and more importantly something that is durable. There is nothing worse than looking down at your perfectly polished manicure after only a day or two and seeing chips in the colour.

The Yves Saint Laurent nail lacquers retail at €24.00 and they are worth every cent!! The packaging alone is stunning (I am a sucker for fancy packaging) and the way these polishes apply so smoothly is incredibly impressive. I used two thin layers to achieve the look in these photos and it lasted for atleast a week the few times I wore it. Once I even got ten days chip free wear and I work hard. I'm constantly on the go from the minute I wake up until I go to bed. In my opinion that is really, REALLY good for a nail polish.

The YSL polish boasts a wide brush which makes application super easy and it dries pretty fast to. I always find a polish with a matte finish will in most cases dry faster than a shiny one. Even though this is a matte polish there is nothing stopping you applying a shiny top coat over it and changing up the look. You could always do something quirky with the shiny top coat like polka dots or a french tip. Who doesn't love a little DIY nail art?

I am so looking forward to purchasing some more YSL nail lacquers. I have been browsing images online constantly trying to pick out my next shade. I feel a little addiction coming on...

If you want to pick up the Yves Saint Laurent Le Fuchsia Mat Nail Lacquer or any other shade from their stunning range you can do so from any YSL counter.

Do you like matte nails? Are you tempted to try these out? Let me know!!

Thank you for reading!

Binky X In The Style | Mel's Top Picks

Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead recently launched her first ever clothing collection with one of my favourite websites www.inthestyle.com. The collection boasts loads of stunning Autumn Winter styles and shades. It was designed with woman of all shapes and sizes in mind.

This dress is my opinion has the perfect balance of casual and sexy. It looks incredible in the photos above with the over the knee boots which are everywhere at the mo. This dress could just as easily be worn with some lace up heels and a long necklace for a night time look. Also available in wine.
See more HERE.

I am obsessed with both the colour and the lattice detail at the front of this dress. The way the dress is kind of loose and swings makes it incredibly figure flattering...basically it hides a multitude! Also available in a floral print.

See more HERE.

This shirt dress screams comfort to me. It reminds me of wearing my boyfriend's shirts for comfort but the belt at the waist makes it chic and feminine. Check patterns are always popular in the Autumn Winter months and this year is no different. Pair is with boots for a glam look or converse for a more casual laid back look.

See more HERE.

Every wardrobe needs atleast one trench coat to get by this season. I am seeing trench coats everywhere but what I love about this one is the khaki colour and the waterfall detail. This gorgeous chic coat is also available in stone and rust.
See more HERE.

While I honestly don't feel I have the figure for this dress I still had to include it because i think it is just gorgeous! I love the high neck and the unusual eyelet detail. This kind of rusty terracotta shade is perfect for this season. Also available in khaki.

See more HERE

All of the items featured above and loads more are available to preorder now on www.inthestyle.com. If you place an order for anything from the Binky collection it will be dispatched on or before October 12th.

Let me know what you think of the collection.
