ITWBN | 1st Birthday Bash

So last Sunday I attended my second Into The West Blogger Network Event. The venue for the day was the stunning five star G Hotel in Galway city and they looked after us so well. We were spoiled with a cocktail on arrival and then there was a little cupcake and some chocolates at each of our set places...mine didn't last long!! The decor of the hotel and the room where the event was on was just so stylish and chic. I don't think I have ever been to a hotel quite as nice before.

The event kicked off with the incredibly inspirational and very funny Sinead Burke aka Minnie Mélange. I was in knots laughing at her presentation and I found her incredibly refreshing. I would love to sit and listen to one of her speeches again. Unfortunately I didn't get around to meeting Sinead at the event but I will hopefully bump into her again sometime.

Next up was a talk from Dee at Castle Print, Galway who are the main sponsors of ITWBN. She talked to us all about branding and how to market ourselves and really get our brand out there. She educated us on how important a good blog design is. This is something I really want to look into and soon. She thought us about how using different colours on business cards will lure people in and also reflect the look of your blog. Her speech really got me thinking about all the ways I could change up Lipstick And Louboutins to make it better for my readers so watch this space.

Wayne Denner was next on stage. Wayne describes himself as a ''Digital Ninja'' and he basically teaches people in schools, colleges, businesses etc. how important your online reputation is and also how important the information you put out there on facebook, twitter, snapchat or whatever is. It is so important to remember how content that you post online can come back to haunt you in situations like job interviews. His speech was very educational. It really got me thinking to really be cautious of what I am posting online.

Last but definitely not least was the beautifully bronzed Karen from Karora Cosmetics. She told us the story of how she grew her business from very little to what it is today. It's amazing that she went from working out of the boot of her car to cracking America, Australia and many other major countries. I actually wore Karora to the event and I loved it. The one I wore was the Karora Self Tan Mist and it is still perfect.

There were so many stands and exhibitors there. I got to chat to the Debenhams and the No7 ladies. I would have gotten around to more if I done less chatting but hey that's what into the west is all about. We are just one big massive family that love to chat and tweet!!! Of all the events I have gone to I have to say into the west is by far the most relaxed and laid back event. Everyone is just there to swap tips, meet brands, meet bloggers, obviously take selfies and just have an all round great day.
I LOVE this picture of Elisha from Alongcamepollly and myself.
Newbie blogger Adel from Nelly Says and myself.

WHAT I WORE
Top: H&M
Skirt: Cari's Closet
Shoes: Savida
Bracelets: Penneys
I'm sure I speak for every member of the ITWBN family both and and new when I say a massive thank you to the dream team Sinead and Saibh. Without these ladies ITWBN would not be the amazing event it is. Another thank you and virtual hug goes to all the brands who sponsored our goodie bags. It is safe to say that there is enough in them to keep me busy blogging for weeks. Everytime I look through it I find something I didn't spot before.

Finally thank you to my fellow bloggers, many of you I would consider friends and to the others we obviously didn't get to chat yet...but we will!! I am so looking forward to the next event already. Eeeeeeek so exciting..

Chat you guys soon.
Love Mel x
