My Current Skincare Routine

So many of you have been commenting on my skin and how good it looks lately that I decided to do a quick blog post on my skincare routine and my top tips for acheiving great skin.
I start with removing my eye makeup always and I use Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water which is so gentle on your eyes and removes even the most stubborn eye makeup. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is available in Tesco, Dunnes, SuperValu and lots of pharmacies nationwide.

My current cleanser is the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel and I love it. It has a really smooth gel like feel and lathers up when you are rubbing it on. Dermalogica can be purchased in most beauty salon that professionaly use it. They will also be able to recommend products for your skin type and/or ailment. Sometimes on tired or lazy nights I will use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as a substitute.

After this I use my Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. If you only ever buy one Dermalogica product then let it be this one. It comes in a powder form that you mix with a small amount of water in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together and then rub on your face and neck. The microfoliant is so gentle yet it still gets right in there and gets the job done. It removes every last bit of makeup and excess cleanser that may be left behind after cleansing. It will also gently remove dead skin cells that may be present on the surface of the skin to reveal a brighter, smoother complexion.

Next up I use my toner. The toner I am currently using is one from the Garnier Soft Essentials range. A toner is soooo important as it rebalances the PH of your skin and also leaves it refreshed and ready for the products to follow. The Garnier Soft Essentials range is excellent because you can get the collection to suit your skin and it's very affordable.

I started using a serum a few weeks back from the Forever Living Sonya range and OH MY GOD I love it!! It is the luxurious part of my skincare routine. I feel like it is the Sonya Nourising Serum that gives my skin the healthy, luminous glow it has.

So in a nutshell...
Eye makeup remover: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
Cleanser: Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel
Scrub: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
Toner: Garnier Soft Essentials Toner
Serum: Forever Living Sonya Nourishing Serum

In addition to this I have been drinking LOTS of water. I fill a few two litre bottles of water and put them in tne fridge and I try to drink atleast one of them a day. I get out for walks as much as possible as exercise gets the blood pumping and releases hormones that will greatly improve the condition of your skin. Your diet also effects your skin so I have been making a huge effort to eat better and I have been including a lot of nuts and fish in my diet as they are an excellent source of Omega3 and give your skin a youthful glow.
You may laugh but I also make sure my phone is clean and free of bacteria. I change my plastic screen cover on a regular basis and give the whole phone a wipe down atleast once a day. As a blogger I spend a lot of my day on my phone and we all throw them in handbags, sit on them, throw them on the seat of the car etc so they are a host for dirt and bacteria!!
I hope this post was helpful! Chat you all soon.
